Happy Father's Day to all the Daddy's out there!

I hope you all had an amazing day. I celebrated with my Daddy last night. I gave him a cardinals shirt. It's red and has the cards logo on the front, and on the back, it's jersey style and says Dad in place of the players name, and the number 1 in place of player number. He absolutely loved it. :) I knew he would. It was so hard to wait so long to give it to him. I'm the kind of person, that when I get a gift for someone, I want to give it to them right away. This is why I go shopping on Christmas Eve. ;D Today, I went up to Payson to visit my Grandpa on my Mom's side of the family. Richie came with me, and so did my Mom, my aunt Barbara, and my little brother David. :) We had Hot dogs and chips, and potato salad. Aunt Barbara made green beans and apple crisp cake, and I made cupcakes. I took a few photos outside, and got a hillarious photo of Richie and I with Grandpa. My camera is in the living room and my Dad's asleep out there though, so I'll post photos tomorrow. We also played a Polish card game called monkey. Basically, you deal four cards to each person. Then the dealer starts to pick up cards one at a time from the deck. You see if you need the card. The object of the game is to get four of the same card (four two's, four four's, four queen's, suit doesn't matter). If you need the card, you keep it in your hand and pass one of the cards that you don't need to the next person. Cards are constantly rotating around the table. Once someone has four of a kind, they take a spoon out of the center of the table. There is one less spoon than the number of people playing. You're supposed to take the spoon as discretely as possible. It doesn't seem like it'd be, but sometimes, you just don't notice people taking spoons. :p The person without a spoon loses that round, and gets a letter (M-O-N-K-E-Y). The first person to spell the word monkey loses. :p It was tons of fun, and I'd love to play it with friends and incorporate alcohol. :p Take a shot instead of grabbing spoons, take a shot when you get a letter, etc. I think it could be fun! Grandpa gave me some old cigar boxes to organize my things in. I love the smell of them. It's just that smell that will always remind me of my Grandpa Fox, and I absolutely love it. <3 The guys shot the gun outside for a while while the girls sat inside and talked, and then we left. We stopped at Dairy Queen on the way out. It's kind of a tradition that we do pretty much every time we leave Payson. ;p Richie, David and I all got Reeses Blizzards, and Mama got a butterscotch tone. Aunt Barbara didn't want anything. This blizzard was so amazing! They were extremely generous with the peanut butter cups. It was nice. I get blizzards pretty often from the DQ by my house, and I'm literally having to search for any sign of a peanut butter cup, but in the one I had today, it was hard to find a bite that DIDN'T have a peanut butter cup. It was awesome! :D Thanks for the awesome Blizzard Mama! We listened to music on the way back into Phoenix, and then stopped at Grandma's house to say hi. Then I took Richie back home and came home with Daddy. It was an awesome day! I'm so very thankful to everyone in my family. I am truly blessed and I thank God for my amazing family every day! I love each and every one of you and you will always have a special place in my heart. <3
Going to Read some more "Dead Until Dark" by Charleane Harris and then going to bed. Tomorrow I start my program at the gym, have lots of homework, and math class at 630.
Millions of Americans spent the days with their Fathers and Grandfathers, celebrating fatherhood at it's best. But please remember to take a moment out of your day and say a prayer for our soldiers, fighting for our freedom who couldn't be with their families today, as well as those who have lost their fathers. This is a sad reality for many of my friends this year. All I can do is send empathy. I cannot be sypathetic, because I have no idea what it's like to lose a father, and i sincerely hope that I do not have to learn what it's like to lose anyone anytime soon. Always remember, those who are no longer with us, are actually a lot closer than we may think. Just because we cannot see them in the flesh, doesn't mean they're not near. At the very least, they're sitting in heaven with our Lord and Savior, looking down on all of us with such happiness and pride. Live your life to the fullest everyday. Be an example for those that you love in your life. Be the change you wish to see in the world.

xoxo
Kris

Ps; I know it's been a while, but I plan to post here much more often. Bookmark the site and check back for more updates!

What's your least favorite movie?

That's hard to answer. I dislike a lot of movies, but one that sticks out after many many years, is The Fifth Element.

Ask me anything

Reflection

As 2010 comes to a close, I begin self reflection. I actually attempt reflection all year long, but with all the things I have going on at any given time during the year, I don't get far. I may spend two hours writing in my journal about what I want to change, but I never actually get around to implementing such changes. To say that year end memes are a hobby of mine would be a vast understatement. I absolutely adore them. I love to look back on past blog posts, pictures, and any other form of memory and relive the happy ones, remind myself that I learned from the not-so-happy ones, and look forward to what life has in store for me in the future.
I am currently in the middle of several year end memes on several social networking sites, but this, is perhaps the one I am most excited before. It seems as if it has a deeper level of reflection. I will be posting this series of reflections here, as well as my personal writing website: VicariousKris.webs.com. There, I hold all my writings from poetry, to essays, to novels, to fanfics. As I've said before, it holds a more professional environment than any other compilation I may have on the internet.
This reflection, reverb10, technically started on December 1st. However, it's just too swell to pass up, so this weekend, I will spend time catching up on the first week and a half. I plan to be all caught up on Monday, and moving steadily forward from there.
In other news, this is my last full week of school. Two of my classes are over as of tomorrow night. I need to finish up the work for those, and get a good nights rest. (:

Introduction

The name's Kris.Or Steena. Or Christi. But never, under any circumstances, Christina. I will seriousy consider decapitating you if you call me that. Unless of course, you have my permission :]. Only those that are the very closest to me are given this permission. Right now, four people have said permissions; My two best friends and my parents.  I created this blog for a few reasons, but pretty much, I need a place to go and write about my vicarious adventures. You see, I'm a 22 year old college student, and right now, I'm at a community college that lacks sports, clubs, and all that stuff that makes college fun. I spend a lot of time online and am part of several fandoms. Basically, I'm going to come here and write and squee, and scream like a little school girl about supernatural, one tree hill, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, Dexter, etc. But it won't stick to that. I'll do some crazy awesome reviews on tv shows, music, movies, products, and whatever else. :) This is my fun public blog and it will be just that.
I also have a writing website that holds a blog, but that's more of a laid back, professional environment. This is where I'll let loose and I can't wait ;)
Just an FYI, prepare for you dashboard to be raped.
